¿Cuál es el efecto de la actividad minera sobre la lucha contra la pobreza?, para responder esta interrogante el objetivo de este trabajo es determinar la influencia de las transferencias mineras en el nivel de pobreza monetaria en las provincias de la región Junín en los periodos 2006-2013. Para ello se empleó un modelo extendido de la “U” invertida de Kuznets, con la intención de validar la hipótesis que buscaba una relación indirecta entre estas variables, luego para la contratación se usó la base de datos de la INEI, del Ministerio de economía y finanzas (MEF) y del Ministerio de energía y minas (MINEM), y los indicadores generados fueron procesados mediante un análisis de panel de datos.
