Introduction: The objective of this research was to explore the association between the presence of depressive symptoms and the existence of symptoms suggestive of urinary incontinence in a group of women treated in a public hospital in Peru. Material and Methods: Cross-sectional study was conducted in women with “Seguro Integral de Salud” who attended the gynecology consultation room of Hospital Nacional Daniel Alcides Carrión during November and December of 2018. A sample was calculated with Epidat version 3.1 and the participants were selected by convenience. Introducción: La depresión e incontinencia urinaria son problemas de salud pública que afectan sobre todo a las mujeres, aumentando la discapacidad y morbilidad mundial, ya que su asociación conlleva al sufrimiento personal y afección social. Sin embargo, no se cuenta con una base de datos ni con trabajos de investigación que aborden esta problemática. The case of a 21-year-old man, hospitalized in the psychiatric service of a general hospital with a history of abnormal thought, perception, and behavioral processes, reaching a suicidal attempt, is presented. In the psychiatric hospitalization unit, he experienced a torpid clinical course, including the appearance of involuntary movements and a progressive sensory disorder that led to his transfer to the Intermediate Care Unit of the Internal Medicine Service. After laboratory tests, imaging support and evaluation by different medical specialties, the final diagnosis was a clinical picture compatible with NMDA anti-receptor encephalitis.

Among the so-called delusional disorders, the erotomanic subtype is characterized by, the delusional belief that a person, usually of higher social and intellectual status, is in love with the patient. The case of a young man whose clinical picture consists in his romantic relationship with an Argentinian singer who fell in love with him through the screen and communicates by telepathic connections, is presented. Erotomanic delirium is an uncommon and poorly documented pathology, particularly in mental health areas of general hospitals. It is important to remain awareness of cases like this in order to provide reliable information and make it possible a timely diagnosis and treatment.
