Objective: To determine the characteristics and frequency of patients aged over 18 years with tuberculosis (TB) before (2019) and during (2020) the COVID-19 pandemic in a healthcare center (CS) in Lima, Peru. Materials and methods: A descriptive retrospective study that included medical records of 100 patients aged > 18 years enrolled in the TB program at CS Los Libertadores (SMP-Lima, Peru) from 2019 to 2020. Sociodemographic (sex, origin, age), clinical (admission/discharge status, body mass index, comorbidities, TB infection site, type of resistance, treatment regimen) and laboratory (smear microscopy, culture, drug susceptibility testing) variables were analyzed. Objective: To determine the clinical-epidemiological characteristics of newborns with early-onset neonatal sepsis in a public hospital in Lima, Peru, 2016-2017. Materials and methods: An observational, retrospective study of 303 newborns born in Hospital Nacional Dos de Mayo, diagnosed with early-onset neonatal sepsis (2016-2017) and with complete medical records. Maternal variables: age, education, marital status, prenatal care, PROM, type of delivery, UTI, chorioamnionitis, anemia; neonatal variables: sex, gestational age, weight, Apgar, clinical signs, hemoculture, isolated organism, treatment, antibiotic sensitivity. Objective: To determine the concordance between clinical, surgical and pathological diagnoses in patients with acute appendicitis, “José Casimiro Ulloa” Emergency Hospital, Lima - Peru, 2018. Materials and Methods: Quantitative, descriptive, transversal study. 276 postpartum first-time mothers of INMP were surveyed, with informed consent, using a validated questionnaire. Results: 80.4% of first-time mothers showed a regular level of knowledge while 8.3% showed a bad level of knowledge. The highest percentage of mothers with good level of knowledge were between 24 and 29 years old (38.71%); in contrast, mothers under or equal to 23 years old have the highest percentage of bad knowledge (47,82%). In addition, mothers from Province accounted the highest percentage of bad knowledge (73,91 %), more than double for those who are from Lima (26,1%). Objective: To determine the amount of tear flow in a population aged between 20 and 30 and correlate it with the relative humidity in Arequipa and Lima (2019). Materials and methods: A quantitative, observational, descriptive and cross-sectional study conducted from July toAugust 2019. The study population consisted of patients aged between 20 and 30 attending ophthalmology clinics in Lima (79 people) and Arequipa (44 people). The exclusion criteria were the following: postoperative patients who underwent an eye surgery, contact lens wearers, people who used a computer over six consecutive hours a day, or those who were awake for less than two hours on the day of the test. Objective: To determine the level of knowledge of hypertension (HTN) among teachers of IEP No. 20799 Daniel AlcidesCarrión located in Chancayllo, Chancay-Huaral, Local Education Management Unit (UGEL) No. 10, 2021. Materials and methods: A descriptive and cross-sectional study which included the entire population of teachers of IEP No. 20799 Daniel Alcides Carrión, totaling n = 60.
