The general objective of this study was to determine the level of reading comprehension among students in the fifth cycle of primary education at Educational Institution No. 62244, Ajachim Community, Manseriche District, Datem del Marañón Province. From a methodological perspective, the research was framed within a non-experimental approach, with a simple descriptive design and a cross-sectional approach. The study included a population of 117 students and a sample of 80 children, all in the fifth cycle of primary education. The data collection instrument was a structured questionnaire with specific questions. The results revealed that 43.8% of the students (35) achieved a reading comprehension level; another 43.8% (35) were in progress, and 12.5% (10) were beginning.
