Early stimulation is an important part of the comprehensive development of infants during the early stages of their life, thus contributing to the strengthening of cognitive, motor, and emotional skills. El presente estudio de investigación tiene como objetivo determinar la relación entre las características sociodemográficas – clínicas y el estilo de vida de los pacientes con Diabetes Mellitus tipo II, atendidos en el Centro de Salud “San Juan”, de la ciudad de Iquitos durante el año 2014. El método empleado fue el cuantitativo y el diseño no experimental de tipo descriptivo correlacional. La población estudiada lo constituyeron un total de 348 pacientes con Diabetes, de ambos sexos, cuya muestra estuvo constituida por la totalidad de 180 (100%) pacientes con Diabetes Mellitus Tipo II, que acudieron al programa y fueron seleccionados por conveniencia.
