Objective: Describe, analyze and understand the experiences in caring for patients with COVID-19 of families in the urban area of ​​the Pimentel District, 2022. Methods: Qualitative, with a descriptive approach. The study subjects were 15 relatives from the urban area of ​​the Pimentel district, who had a relative diagnosed with COVID-19, the type of sampling was non-probabilistic and the sample was saturation and redundancy. Data collection was carried out through a semi-structured interview, validated by expert judgment. The data were analyzed using thematic content analysis; and for its execution the use of ethical principles and scientific rigor was demonstrated.
