Objectives. Our goal is to determine the prevalence of endometrial polyps and estimate the diagnostic value of the HSG in the INMP. Materials and Methods.A cross – sectional study. The sample comprised patients attending the outpatient clinic of the Department of Gynecology, the reason for the visit is that of HUA in INMP in the period from January 2009 to December 2011. Inclusion criteria: non-pregnant patients with ultrasound scans an HSG in INMP, and then carried out two studies have a pathological study. The information is processed electronically with SPSS version 20,0 and Epidat 3,1. Be developed contingency tables and calculate the S, E, PPV and NPV of TV ultrasound and HSG, and their respective correlation.

Objective. Evaluate the results of a series of consecutive cases of ectopic pregnancies complicated with surgical indication according to our current management guidelines of ectopic pregnancy in the National Maternal Perinatal Institute (INMP) who were managed with local injection of methotrexate (MTX) guided by transvaginal ultrasound, in addition to its application intramuscularly. Materials and methods. It is a prospective, longitudinal intervention study. Nine patients with diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy (EP) uncomplicated with surgical indication in the hospital department of gynecology at INMP, who were offered treatment by administering local MTX under ultrasound and intramuscular guide and track were studied both ultrasound and serum chorionic gonadotropin beta fraction (hCG beta) until complete resolution of ectopic pregnancy. Absolute and relative frequencies for categorical v...

Objective. To determine the characteristics of medical management with methotrexate in unruptured ectopic pregnancy in Instituto Nacional Materno Perinatal in Lima. Material and methods. A descriptive study, retrospective, realized between January 2009 and December 2010. These were 30 patients diagnosed with unruptured ectopic pregnancy who received methotrexate in the study period. The instrument used was a data collection form developed for study purposes. Results. The most frequent was tubal right at the 56,7% of cases, the most widely used protocol was single-dose in 86,6 % of cases, the most common size was 20 to 35 mm in 60 % of cases, 70 % of cases became negative B-hCG (fraction B of human chorionic gonadotropin), 30% required surgery, the most frequent adverse reaction to methotrexate was nausea (10% of cases).Conclusions. Medical management with methotrexate is an alternative f...
