Acute Respiratory Infections (IRAS) are the most common childhood illnesses. It is possible to contract them even without risk factors; although, if there are a greater number of factors, the higher the probability of becoming ill. Objective: To determine the environmental factors that are associated with Respiratory Infections in children under 5 years of age who attend the Barranca Hospital. Materials and methods: basic research, with a quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional approach. La investigación es de corte cuantitativo en la cual se trabajó con una cohorte de estudiantes de la Universidad Nacional “Santiago Antúnez de Mayolo” (UNASAM). Su alcance es correlacional y para el recojo de los datos se utilizó el cuestionario que se aplicó a los estudiantes del último ciclo de todas las carreras profesionales. El objetivo fue identificar los factores relacionados con la dificultad en la elaboración de tesis de los estudiantes de la UNASAM.
