Objective: determine the internal morphology of the upper first molar in a sample obtained in Cuenca-Ecuador using the diaphanization technique. Material and Metods: n a sample of 84 upper first molars and following the Vertucci classification, the internal morphology of the root canals was analyzed using the diaphanization technique. Results: 58% of the sample had three root canals, followed by the presence of four root canals in 38% of the cases. The canal visible in figure 1 (a) of the illustration was the most frequent, only one canal was found in the mesiobuccal root. Conclusions: n the analyzed sample, there is a higher frequency of three root canals with type I configuration.

The presence of the new pandemic COVID-19 or SARS-CoV-2 shows the need to adopt measures that minimize, prevent, and control the risk of infection and the spread of the virus in dental practice. Therefore, the objective of this article is to establish the repercussions in different areas of dental care facing the presence of the virus, in relation to the practice of dental infection control, its contagion characteristics (in different stomatological scenarios), dental procedures and possible considerations during the pandemic. Concluding that in dental practice, emergency procedures should be prioritized to those patients without respiratory symptoms in addition to the prior evaluation to rule out any symptomatology related to the virus, protecting the health of professionals and patients who interact during the dental consultation.

The present review aims to determine the characteristics of flexible prostheses and their prosthetic alternatives, for this, the PubMed, SciELO and Scholar google databases were used and the following keywords were used: flexible prosthesis, “valplast” and nylon prosthesis. A total of 30 articles were collected in English, Spanish and Portuguese languages. It was determined that flexible type removable prostheses (nylon) are characterized by their elasticity and ease of adopting colors, improving their aesthetics, unfortunately the material that makes them up does not seem to meet all the desired properties in the long term. Its use can be implemented as long as it is temporarily.

To relate the presence of Candida Albicans as an aggravating factor in patients with COVID-19, a bibliographic review was carried out in the Redalyc, Scielo, PubMed, Research gate, Science direct, Google scholar databases. The inclusion criteria used were: articles in English and Spanish as well as articles published from 2020 to date. 65 scientific articles that met the search criteria were analyzed and it was possible to determine that Oral candidiasis negatively affects patients with COVID-19 infection, increasing the risk of admission to the ICU with the use of artificial ventilators.

To determinate the efficacy of natural disinfectants against Candida Albicans in partial and total dental prostheses. This is a bibliographic review that focused on the search for scientific articles on disinfection of prostheses by natural methods on Scopus, SciELO and Google scholar databases. After applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 27 articles were selected that met the theoretical characteristics applicable to the research topic. Natural disinfectants such as mint, lemon verbena and thyme eliminate Candida albicans when exposed to concentrations of 50% for 24 hours, oregano is effective in concentrations less than 10% with the same exposure time, while muña demonstrates effectiveness in concentrations greater than 75%. The care and management of a prosthetic device is a priority, since the oral cavity is an ideal environment for the multiplication of microorganisms such...
