This paper seeks to analyze the geopolitical causes of the renegotiation of the North American Free Trade Agreement (TLCAN / NAFTA) until the generation of the new United States Mexico Canada Agreement (T-MEC / USMCA). We consider that the advance of China within the supply chains that enter the geographic area of North America, the existing asymmetries in the productive structures of Mexico and its two northern partners, as well as the new protectionist tendencies in the United States generated the conditions for the renegotiation of the agreement, which creates incentives to prioritize the production of industrial material within the USMCA space against competition from Chinese products. This article examines the protracted territorial conflict between Venezuela and Guyana over the Essequibo region from a perspective of historical analysis. The scope of the study encompasses from the early attempts at peaceful conflict resolution in the late 19th century to contemporary challenges arising from the discovery of vast reserves of oil and gas in the disputed area; culminating with the April 2023 order from the International Court of Justice in The Hague directing Venezuela not to alter the status quo in the area until it issues a final judgment, which could take years. Analiza el periodo 2008-2010 del gobierno de Venezuela, en donde se producen grandes cambios en el sistema internacional (crisis financiera y cambio de gobierno en los Estados Unidos), asi como el descenso de los precios del petróleo; con el objetivo de comprobar si existe una relación directa entre dichos cambios y la continuación de los objetivos propuestos en los dos principales planes estratégicos del gobierno venezolano: El Nuevo Mapa Estratégico de 2004 y el Proyecto Nacional Simón Bolívar - Primer Plan Socialista - de 2007. Asimismo, se acuña la terminología Realismo Periférico-Ofensivo como modelo para explicar el giro producido en la Política Exterior Venezolana con la llegada del presidente Hugo Chávez al poder.

La comprensión lectora inferencial es un nivel de concepción más profundo y amplio de las ideas que exige una atribución de significados, relacionándolos con experiencias personales y conocimiento previo que posee el lector sobre el texto. El objetivo del presente estudio es identificar y comparar el nivel de comprensión lectora inferencial de estudiantes universitarios peruanos de recién ingreso. Para la recolección de datos se aplicó el test de Comprensión Lectora CLOZE que es una prueba estructurada (selección múltiple) de comprensión lectora de 06 textos y 60 preguntas inferenciales (léxicas, causales, macroestructurales, especificativas y de intención del autor) a 90 estudiantes, cuyas edades oscilan entre los 16 a 18 años, de recién ingreso (2021) de tres universidades privadas de la ciudad de Arequipa, Perú.
