Based on the state of knowledge of the sites of the Late Intermediate Period (1100-1400 A. P.) in the province of Vilcas Huamán, it was proposed to address the problem of domestic areas and their spatial organization through the study of the archaeological site Llaqtaqasa located in the Concepción district, Vilcas Huamán province (Ayacucho). To obtain data, prospecting works were carried out without collecting material in sector B, which included the topographic and planimetric survey of the entire area. During the execution of the same, the presence of a burrow at the foot of an enclosure could be registered, which was used to extract samples of land in order to obtain some data on the consumption of the inhabitants and see the relationship with the Andenería system and pens present in the settlement. All the data obtained shows that the residents of Llaqtaqasa had a complementary e...

The hispanic occupation in Lima caused a series of sociopolitical changes, which affected the configuration of the new landscape on the right bank of the Rímac middle valley. In the case of the archaeological site of the Huaca Fortaleza de Campoy, the results of the excavations carried out allow us to observe, in addition to evidence of pre-Hispanic occupation, a set of activities associated with the colonial and republican periods, which are complemented with data extracted of historical documents. Among the identified activities is the raising of cattle, which would have been part of a local tradition around the use of space since pre-Hispanic times. However, the development of this activity, during the Hispanic reoccupation brought as a consequence the adaptation and reconfiguration of the pre-Hispanic spaces of the site, such as the closure of enclosures and/or the opening of new ac...

In this article, we will present, in grosso modo, the Llaqtaqasa archaeological site in the district of Concepción, province of Vilcas Huamán. Within this site, we will describe the sectors comprising it, the surrounding architectural structures, and the movable archaeological materials found on the surface. By analyzing this data, we propose a building date during the Late Intermediate Period, in a strategic point made up of large pampa areas with water sources used for productive activities development.

The architectural study carried out, through the planimetric and topographic survey, in the Llaqtaqasa archaeological site, specifically in Sector B, yielded new data where the "Patio Groups" in addition to being the registered archaeological construction unit corresponds to a new type of organization space within a settlement of the Late Intermediate Period in the province of Vilcas Huamán (Ayacucho). This organization presents a closed spatial configuration where the enclosures and patios are the main components. This article will present the data obtained around this type of spatial organization where the different construction phases and internal circulation in the referred sector are also being considered.
