Hemos realizado un estudio de la oxidación de la D glucosa 2 C14 o CO2 en erirocitos. Estas células degradan la glucosa por la vía de la pentosa fosfato y la vía glicolítica o de Embden-Meyerhof; está demostrando que el reticulocito tiene mitocondrias por lo cual presenta al sistema de los citocromos y toda la cadena de transportadores de electrones y, por ende, es capaz de hacer la oxidación final de la glucosa en el ciclo de Krebs. En contraste, el eritrocito maduro carece de mitocondrias por lo cual los citocromos están ausentes, en consecuencia no posee el ciclo del ácido cítrico. La energía del erirocito maduro proviene primariamente de la glicólisis anaeróbica y de la oxidación del fosfogluconato (1).

OBJECTIVE: Discover the laparoscopic findings in the study of infertility patients. DESIGN: Retrospective descriptive study based on a review of medical records, laparoscopy sheets and sheets infertility patients undergoing diagnostic laparoscopy. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Between January 1995 and December 1998, at the National Hospital Cayetano Heredia diagnostic laparoscopy to 106 infertility patients was performed. The study variables were: Features of infertility (type and time inferlilidad), affiliation, background, symptoms, gynecologic, laparoscopic examination (findings and complications). RESULTS: The secondary infertility was 60.4% and 39.6% Primary; 95.3% showed abnormal laparoscopy; factors were most frequently altered tubal factor (67%) and peritoneal factor (66%).
