Objetivo: Establecer la contribución del modelo formativo de enfermería comunitaria a las funciones de la enfermera docente en una Universidad Privada de Chiclayo. El marco teórico está sustentado en S. Tobón para modelos formativos y en Mounier para personalismo comunitario. La metodología es la investigación acción participativa. Los sujetos epistémicos fueron 3 docentes, los objetos empíricos fueron: 64 estudiantes de enfermería y 120 pobladores de las sedes de práctica comunitaria de las estudiantes. Las técnicas e instrumentos de recolección de datos utilizados en la implementación del modelo formativo fueron: entrevista reflejo a los docentes de enfermería y lista de cotejo de informes y silabo de práctica comunitaria extramuros de las estudiantes de enfermería. Objective: To analyze and explore beliefs, myths, and fears about the care of diabetic foot (DF) in a hospital in northern Peru. Methods: A qualitative and analytic study was carried out using semi-structural interviews applied to patients recruited through a convenient sample limited by thematic saturation among individuals attending the Diabetic Foot Unit of Hospital Regional Lambayeque. The results were registered, transcribed, coded, and categorized manually with thematic analysis. Results: Ten individuals were interviewed. Three categories were obtained: a. myths and beliefs about the genesis of DF; unknown and spontaneous origin, the religion imposes the belief that DF are the results of divine punishment, magico-religious causes (witchcraft), or inadvertent lesions. Objetive: To describe illness related knowledge features, mental health, adherence to therapy and quality of life on type 2 diabetes patients from two hospitals from northern Peru. Material and Methods: Cross sectional descriptive study. A cense was made. Descriptive statistics and exploratory analysis were employed. Results: there were 382 diabetes patients: 289 in Lambayeque and 93 in Piura:112 people were interviewed. The mean age was 59.5 +/- 11.6 years, 58% were women, 59% were from Piura, 43.8% only had primary school and 41.5% referred 2 to 4 outpatient evaluations in the last two years; 28.6% reported to have been infected by COVID-19: 35,5% in Lambayeque and 23.8% in Piura; 17.8% had poor knowledge about the disease.
