Perú es uno de los países con la mayor desigualdad económica y social del mundo. Este estudio analiza los factores que explican estas desigualdades Con este fin, se está desarrollando un nuevo enfoque teórico que integra el concepto de exclusión social en el análisis. Precisamente, se trata de responder a la pregunta: ¿es la desigualdad el resultado de una forma especial de integración social o quizás el resultado de ciertas exclusiones que tienen lugar en el proceso social? The authors present a collaborative study that prospectively has engaged 14 maternity hospitals in the public sector, 10 from the Ministry of Health (MOH) and 4 of the Peruvian Institute of Social Security (IPSS); Likewise 9 corresponded to Lima and 5 establishments were in other regions.
