This research was developed in order to evaluated the effect of an essential oil-based cream of Origanum vulgare on skin lesions induced in Mus musculus Balb / c. The experimental animals were divided into 5 groups of 5 specimens each, to which skin lesions were induced The negative group was not treated; The Positive Group was given a base of vitamins A and D3, boric acid, zinc oxide, benzalkonium chloride ; healing cream, while the problem group: I, II and III was applied the cream formulated with an essential oil base of Origanum vulgare, twice a day (8 a.m./8 p.m.), for 8 days.
