The paper presents an updated approach of the social media role in the contemporary social movements. Drawing from the explanation of some viewpoints about interaction in the social media, a brief review about social movements theory and their implications is presented, emphasizing in their relationship with communication processes and specific storytellings.. Finally, some symbolic resources used by social movements in diverse realities are described.

The article presents one panoramic viewpoint on social media influence in the work of professional journalism. The use of social media as information sources and their impact on information processing and news production routines are described. It is concluded that social media influence growing in the journalistic activity that becomes effective in contemporary society.

The article presents the basic features of Psychology of Communication as a specialized area of Psychology. Starting from conceptual criteria, it describes the development of research and teaching internationally and proposes some guidelines for theoretical and applied work.

The article attempts an approximation to behavioral and sociocultural transformations produced in contemporary daily life, derived from the massive use of mobile phones. Part of the rapid development of mobile technologies and growth of its coverage that in diverse countries exceeds number of inhabitants, which it has converted to these resources into objects of privileged consumption with a high rate of technological obsolescence. It describes how in relation with the use of mobile phones have changed, in practical terms the concept of public and private spaces.
