In Vitro Screening for Antimicrobial and Antioxidant of a meditational plant: Ziziphus jujube leaves

The current study explore was designed for the investigation of antimicrobial and antioxidant activity of crude methanol extract of the plant Ziziphus jujuba. The crude methanol extract and other extracts showed considerable total antioxidant activity and reducing capacity. In DPPH scavenging test, the crude extract showed 83.02% scavenging having IC50 of 22.23 μg/ml. Amongst the fractions, petroleum ether fraction demonstrated the highest DPPH scavenging activity with IC50 of 62.45 μg/ml, as long as, chloroform extract exhibited the lowest activity with IC50 of 32.13 μg/ml and N-hexane fraction with IC50 of 58.45 μg/ml. Objectives To examine the associations of Intimate partner violence (IPV) with stress-related sleep disturbance (measured using the Ford Insomnia Response to Stress Test [FIRST]) and poor sleep quality (measured using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index [PSQI]) during early pregnancy. Methods This cross-sectional study included 634 pregnant Peruvian women. In-person interviews were conducted in early pregnancy to collect information regarding IPV history, and sleep traits. Adjusted odds ratios (aOR) and 95% confidence intervals (95%CIs) were calculated using logistic regression procedures. Results Lifetime IPV was associated with a 1.54-fold increased odds of stress-related sleep disturbance (95% CI: 1.08–2.17) and a 1.93-fold increased odds of poor sleep quality (95% CI: 1.33–2.81). Tamarindus indica is a well-known medicinal plant which belongs to Fabaceae family, and it is a tropical perennial plant, which is broadly consumed as conventional system of pharmaceutical in whole world. T. indica is generally cultivated in Africa and Southern Asian zones. This review precis the Phytochemistry as well as pharmacological properties of T. indica. The chemistry of this plant detailed have place to various classes such as tannins, glycosides, flavonoids, steroids, unstable oils, tars, sugars, and mucilage. T. indica has various therapeutically properties, numerous of which have been confirmed by logical researchers. Phytochemical composition of T. indica confers it important pharmacological properties at present to recommend its habitual consumption to chronics disseases.
