Electric power supply in urban and rural Peru is loaded with issues, especially in the quality of service offered at distribution substations. Voltage fluctuations compromise power quality , leading to equipment breakdowns and inadequate service delivery. This research tackles the problem of power quality optimization based on the analysis of accurate data and corrective measures using simulation techniques. The effect of setting the transformer tap changer and voltage control device on supply stability was examined using the PandaPower library in Python. Through the strict implementation of the Technical Standard for the Quality of Electric Services (NTCSE) and the Technical Standard for the Quality of Rural Electric Services (NTCSER), the performance of the secondary circuits powered by a transformer of 100 kVA in urban areas and 25kVA in rural areas was evaluated. A threshold of 2.6 V...

The paper describes developing an innovative monitoring system based on the Internet of Things (IoT) aimed at single - phase distribution transformers of rural type. These types of transformers are threatened by adverse weather conditions in conjunction with the increasing energy demand, which puts them at high risk of overheating, overloading, and other operational eventualities that could ultimately lead to a highly polluting oil spill. The proposal incorporates a single - phase energy meter PZEM - 004T, capable of measuring in real time. I t also includes an infrared sensor , MLX90614, for continuous surface temperature monitoring . For its part, the available A9G communication module makes it possible to have fluid communication with a central IoT platform, in addition to allowing the visuali zation and geopositioning in real time of the transformers at risk and the proactive control...

This research focuses on designing an automated test bench for alternators, which incorporates real - time monitoring using Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, advanced electrical analysis, and intelligent diagnostics based on a Multilayer Perceptron (MLP ) artificial intelligence model. The system allows the testing of automotive alternators under various operating conditions, measuring the RPM, voltage, and current generated and sending the data to a web platform via an ESP32 microcontroller. Multiple tes ts were performed during the experiment at various load levels and speeds, demonstrating a direct relationship between voltage and RPM. Additionally, the PZEM - 003/017 achieved a measurement margin of error of less than 1%, and the AI model's fault detectio n accuracy exceeded 90%. Likewise, a finite element analysis (FEA) of the system's structural framework was performed, valida...

Abstract - Extreme environmental conditions in underground mining environments, such as high relative humidity and thermal fluctuations, can lead to erroneous activations of ground fault protection relays, thereby compromising the operational continuity of critical systems even in the absence of actual electrical faults. This study introduces an embedded solution based on Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT), designed to detect false positives in underground pumping chambers located at altitudes exceeding 4000 meters above sea level. The proposed system integrates environmental sensors with a microcontroller that executes a Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) neural network model in real-time, trained on 14400 samples collected over a continuous 10-day period. In contrast to prior approaches, the developed architecture performs local inference without relying on constant connectivity and tran...
