In the clinical practice of nursing, emerge challenges that allow professionals to reflect and motivate themselves by a constant search for improvements that contribute to increase the quality of health care provided to the population of a country, state and/or locality. With this, reflection becomes analysis towards future thinking, where nursing care is in more promising contexts to practice the profession with accessible and feasible ideals. The objective is to prospectively analyze the image of the nursing professional in the health care area in 2030 and to invite reflection on the proposal of this target image shown in this work.

The use of complementary therapies in the care of the population with drug use problems continues to be a phenomenon of interest to the health professional and researcher, especially for nurses, who provide holistic care. Objective: to synthesise the available scientific evidence regarding therapies used in psychoactive substance use disorders in young people. Method: 6-stage integrative review; the databases consulted were Pubmed, Web of science, EBSCO Host, Science Direct, Conricyt and Ovid, using the terms young adult, complementary therapies and substance use disorders, in addition to the Boolean AND and OR. Main results: Twelve articles published predominantly in China, USA and Germany, randomised controlled trial methodology, were selected. This essay is a review of ethnography and its relationship to nursing care. In the case of ethnography, epistemologically it is about immersing a culture and the art of seeing, learning and interpreting reality in through engagement with participants, either openly or secretly in their environment. Therefore, the role of researchers in data collection is crucial in conducting ethnographic research, as this design will generate rich and deep data. The purpose is to understand the background or phenomena under study and require the researcher to conduct field visits, be reflective and consider their own assumptions and premises to strengthen the research findings.
