Cadmium effects on body weight, the activity of AST, ALT, and creatinine histological changes in the liver and testis Sprague Dawley Rattus norvegicus was evaluated. The experimental evaluation was performed at the Laboratory of Animal Physiology of the Academic Department of Biology of the UNSA Arequipa, during the months of January to June 2015. Control (Distilled water), Group 2 (5 mg / kg of cadmium chloride), Group 3 (. 10 mg / kg of cadmium chloride) and Group 4 (20: 24 Sprague Dawley Rattus norvegicus allocated in four treatment groups mg / Kg. of cadmium chloride) for 4 weeks. It significant difference (p <0.05) was found in body weight of rats in different groups of evaluation. When applying postcomparación Tukey test it was found that in the treatment with cadmium chloride at doses of 20 mg / kg / day, body weights of rats treated decreased significantly. It significant dif...

The lipid-lowering activity of the aqueous extract of Solanum melongena “berenjena” fruit in Rattus norvegicus Wistar variety with experimental hyperlipidemia was evaluated. It was carried out in the Animal Physiology Laboratory of the National University of San Agustín and Bioterio of the Universidad Católica de Santa María from June 1 to September 31, 2015. 24 Rattus norvegicus Wistar variety distributed in four groups of 6 rats each were used: a hypercholesterolemic control treatment and three experimental Solanum melongena treatment at a dose of 0.5 g / kg / day, 1 g / kg / day and lovastatin at a dose of 3 mg / kg The Wiener method was used in the determination of Total Cholesterol, Triglycerides, HDL-cholesterol and LDLcholesterol. Hyperlipidemia was achieved with a mixture of 50 g of boiled beef brain with 50 g of rabbits plus 3 ml of lard per rat. A significant decrease (p...

The effects of stress on the levels of TGO (Glutamic Oxalacetic Transaminase), leukocyte formula and histological changes in brain and heart of Rattus novergicus variety Sprague Dawley variety were evaluated. The experimental evaluation was carried out in the Laboratory of Animal Physiology of the Academic Department of Biology of the UNSA-Arequipa, during the months of November 2015 to January 2016. 24 Rattus novergicus Sprague Dawley variety assigned in four groups were used: T1 (control group , away from any stimulus that disturbs them), T2 (presence of predators for 20 min./day/day cycle), T3 (presence of predators for 20 min./day / night cycle), T4 (presence of predators for 20 min ./every 7 days / day cycle), for 4 weeks. It was shown that stress causes a statistically significant increase in blood TGO levels in rats, compared to baseline levels, but there is no significant differe...

The toxicity of the aqueous extract of Stevia rebaudiana in Rattus norvegicus variety Sprague Dawley was evaluated for 60 days. It was held at the Biology Biology UNSA, Arequipa, during the months August to December 2012 16 Rattus norvegicus Sprague Dawley variety distributed in four groups of 4 rats each were used: The distilled water (Control Group) was administered to the control group, the Stevia rebaudiana aqueous extract was administered to the orogastric group experimentally 2, 3, 4 doses of 0.3, 0.6 and 0.9 g / kg / day respectively. Wierner's kits were used for the determination of TGO, TGP, glucose and creatinine. Body weight was measured on an Omni 5300 digital scale. The tissues evaluated (liver, kidney and stomach) by the Harris method. There was no significant difference in the activity of TGO and TGP in plasma of Rattus norvegicus variety Sprague Dawley with treatment of a...

The influence of hypoxic hypoxia on some hematological, cardiovascular and respiratory parameters of men residing in the Colca Valley (3417-3633 masl) was evaluated. The experimental evaluation was carried out at the Chivay Health Center and Health Post of Yanque, during the months of January to December 2015. The average age was 22.76 ± 5.04 years, average weight is 58.94 ± 6.16 Kg, average height of 1.64 ± 5.02 mt (p> 0.05). There was no significant difference in age, weight, height and BMI in the residents of Chivay, Yanque and Achoma. Significant difference in erythrocyte count, hematocrit and hemoglobin was found in the inhabitants of Chivay, Yanque and Achoma (p <0.05). There was no significant difference in leukocyte count in the assessed population (p> 0.05). There was no significant difference in leukocyte count in the inhabitants of Chivay, Yanque and Achoma (p> ...

The present work aimed to establish the effects of two different diets, omnivorous and vegetarian, on somatic, hematological parameters in laboratory rats. It was carried out in the Bioterio and Laboratory of Animal Physiology of the Department of Biology of the UNSA, Arequipa, during the months April to November of 2017. 24 Rattus norvegicus laboratory rats were used, assigned to two groups that were subjected to “onmivorous” and “vegetarian” diets, respectively for 120 days (4 months) where somatic parameters (body weight, total length and tail length were analyzed), erythron (corpuscular volumes VCM, HCM, CHCM) leukocyte indices (I. Schilling, I. Arneth, IN, IG, IR in Rattus norvegicus variety Sprague Dawley and hemostasis (platelet count and prothrombin time) in Rattus norvegicus variety Sprague Dawley. Body weight and length rose similarly in both groups. The length of the t...
