The purpose of this article is, to reflect on some important aspects of Bilingual Intercultural Education, based on a research experience of the cocama-cocamilla Amazonian thought, in the native community "Independencia" Río Amazonas-Loreto during 2014, which will allow us to address some concepts such as ancestral knowledge, interculturality, Amazonian Thinking cocama-cocamilla, hidden curriculum in the educational activity of the “Independencia” community.

El estudio del pensamiento amazónico cocama, emprendido en la comunidad nativa de Independencia (Loreto) para optar al Grado de Magíster, en la mención Educación Intercultural y bilingüe, enfoca el problema de la educación intercultural y bilingüe de manera cuantitativa y cualitativa; es decir, es una investigación de tipo mixto o multimetódica, triangulando entre datos cuantitativos obtenidos a través de la encuesta y datos cualitativos obtenidos a través de la entrevista en una aproximación de observación directa.
