Grief involves mental representations and behaviors linked to an affective loss that seeks to accept this reality and adapt to it. Although it is a complex and difficult process to face by people of any age, the long-term negative effects are much higher in children because it is a risk factor for future psychological disorders, and precisely for this reason a psychological intervention with solid theoretical bases is necessary that focuses not only on the child but also on their caregivers and other close people. The present study followed a theoretical research design since it is a detailed review or update of 30 investigations related to grief in children.
