En este trabajo, se planteó diseñar y construir un prototipo para la extracción de aceite en semillas oleaginosas por inundación de solvente (Hexano al 95%); teniendo en cuenta que debería ser un proceso discontinuo, con una capacidad de carga de 500gr. de muestra y una relación volumen/masa de 1:5. Las muestras utilizadas fueron semillas trituradas y tamizadas (3mm) de Castaña (Bertholletia excelsa) y Soya (Glycine max). Como resultado, se comprobó que era factible construir el prototipo con las consideraciones planteadas; y se logró extraer 340ml de aceite de castaña y 90ml de aceite de soya, con una recuperación total de hexano entre el 90-94.2%.
