The objective of this thesis was to determine the risk of anemia in children under 6 years of age from the Kumamoto - El Porvenir human settlement. For which 51 blood samples obtained from the finger pulp were used. The biochemical determinations of hemoglobin (Hb) were based on the colorimetric method taking into account the range for children from 12.9 g / dl to 16.9 g / dl and the hematocrit (Hto) by the microhematocrit method, with a range of 36 to 43 %. For this purpose, a survey was applied where general data, nutritional aspect, lifestyle and family background were collected.
