The old saying that claims that the Doctor is the eternal student, is the expression of a truth which was met by simple individual effort when the frontiers of knowledge seemed accessible or nearby. The magnitude and speed of the new contributions of research today makes it difficult for the simple personal effort isolated to maintain a constant information such as to allow each professional constantly renew their knowledge.
