The purpose of the study was to estimate the relationship, through correlation coefficients, between the selective tax on fuel consumption and the economic growth of the Loreto region, during the period 2007 and 2019. For this, quantitative analyzes were carried out, using statistics descriptive and through inferential statistics, through two statistical models to calculate, evaluate and analyze the correlation coefficients of the variables, these were the Pearson correlation model and the Spearman correlation model. El presente trabajo de investigación, se realizó con el objetivo de determinar si la cultura tributaria es uno de los factores determinantes para la informalidad de los comerciantes del caserío Santa Clara, distrito de San Juan, periodo 2019 y también determinar en qué medida la cultura tributaria es un factor determinante para la informalidad de los comerciantes del caserío Santa Clara, distrito de San Juan, periodo 2019, alto, medio o bajo. La investigación realizada es de tipo cuantitativo de diseño No Experimental, se aplicó a 10 comerciantes a quienes se les aplico un cuestionario de 10 preguntas para la variable cultura tributaria y 10 preguntas para la variable Informalidad, llegándose a determinar que la cultura tributaria es un factor determinante alto para la informalidad en el caserío de Santa Clara, distrito de San Juan, Periodo 2019.
