Living Labs are innovation infrastructures where software companies and research organizations collaborate with lead users to design and develop new products and services. There is not any reference model related to the processes or practices to manage a living lab. This article presents a reference model to manage effectively the synergies of software companies with the other stakeholders participating in a living lab. The article describes the approach used to create the reference model through the analysis of a multiple case study considering six living labs and discusses the lessons learned during the creation of the process reference model.

Software Process Improvement (SPI) models are a very important topic for SPI workers as software engineering students that require a good comprehension of the process assessment models. This paper proposes a visual multi-layered representational model describing in a highly practical way the ISO/IEC 33000 Assessment Framework through of structural and behavioural views. This kind of representation comprises several semantic layers based on the dimensions of the key elements of the model with an additional dimension for specifying measurements. The structural elements of the model are assigned on distinct layers and connected through dependence and co-occurrence connector in applying the Assessment Model on software processes. The representation model was tested with software developers, academic experts and students.

Citizens can be considered as an important source of knowledge for innovating in open contexts, collaborating with initiatives for developing solutions to urban issues, in order to get improvements addressed to a collective well-being. This paper presents an approach to including transactive memory aspects into the development of collective initiatives, as a vehicle of supporting the relationships between the memory systems of contributors of ideas. Providing a visual representation of elements and mechanisms for building ideas from citizen initiatives would make the collective interactions of creating, refining and maturing solutions more understandable. Through a case study, the visual schematization was designed and validated by a community comprised of members of universities, experts and some local citizens. Finally, the analysis of results disclosed encouraging appreciations of the...

Software R&D teams require proper forms of representing knowledge at carrying out software engineering processes and researches. In this context, transfer of knowledge becomes a dynamic process because team members participating in the process acquire, communicate and integrate knowledge from different sources. In this paper, a behavior tree-based model is presented for representing knowledge generated from research and development activities. Through structured nodes representing pieces of knowledge, it is possible to identify key points of new challenges, concerns, issues, gaps, etc., and shed lights on new insights and knowledge of importance to team members, contributing to improve and provide solutions to the domain analyzed.

Software process learning is a relevant aspect on software process improvement. In this paper, we present a framework based on knowledge graphs, in order to evaluate the expertise on ISO 15504 software model (SPICE). Having identified some papers related to the target of the research, we have proposed a framework with modules related to mechanisms, to extract both: information from IT workers and SPI models, for generating the corresponding knowledge graphs and matching them, to determine strengths and weaknesses in the learning process of the SPICE model.

Knowledge transfer is a key aspect of securing the continuous improvement of learning, being the reuse and recombination of knowledge a difficult task. Hence, this process can be enriched by approaches such as graph theory, transactive memory and social networks to boost and facilitate the team members' learning. This paper presents an approaching of representing knowledge transfer of learning contexts, applying graph structures to perceive dynamically the collaborative learning under transactive memory mechanisms and social network aspects when connecting participants in building knowledge. The proposed model allows rate the learning process and determines weak elements to so reinforcing the understanding and comprehension of a determined subject. Through case studies, this approach was validated by people belonging to academic and business context, which participated in learning collab...
