The present investigation was carried out on the Albacora platform of Lot Z1, 10 nautical miles from the coast of the districts of Corrales and La Cruz, Province of Tumbes - Tumbes, Peru and consisted in evaluating the quarterly spatio-temporal variation of the marine phytoplankton of the year 2014. The environmental variables were taken as sea surface temperature, salinity, pH and dissolved oxygen. 100 samples were collected in total. The phytoplankton samples were collected on the surface, by means of a network of 75 u of opening with a diameter of 20 cm, by surface trawling in a craft fishing vessel at a speed of 3 knots for 5 min. La presente investigación se realizó en la plataforma Albacora del Lote Z1, a 10 millas náuticas de la costa de los distritos de Corrales y La Cruz, Provincia de Tumbes - Tumbes, y consistió en evaluar la variación espacio – temporal trimestral del fitoplancton marino del año 2014; se tomaron las variables ambientales como temperatura superficial del mar, salinidad, pH y oxígeno disuelto. Se recolectaron 100 muestras en total y la metodología utilizada fue la publicada en el Standard Methods for Examination of Water and Wastewater con algunas modificaciones en campo. Oil activities are developed on the coast of the department of Tumbes, Peru, which coexist with the coastal marine ecosystem. It is possible that this activity could generate pollution in the habitat of some species and cause changes in the marine ecosystem. Th erefore, the present investigation focuses mainly on zooplankton. Within these organisms, there are two important groups: Copepods and euphausiids. During 2014, according to Peruvian law (DS N ° 039- 2014-EM) in the surroundings of the Albacora Platform, marine monitoring was carried out on board an artisanal vessel and zooplankton samples were taken according to standardized protocol. Siete especies comúnmente consumidas de peces (periche, dica, mojarra, chalaco, camotillo, lisa y sábalo) fueron colectadas del río Tumbes durante un año. Cantidades de mercurio, cadmio, plomo y arsénico fueron determinados en tejido muscular, usando absorción atómica: vapor hidruro y llama. Los resultados obtenidos se compararon con los contenidos máximos permisibles (CMP) y los estándares a utilizar corresponden a arsénico, cadmio, mercurio y plomo, según la Unión Europea (2006) y Canadá (2009); además, en la determinación de los parámetros de riesgo para salud pública, se utilizó el valor de EWI (ingesta semanal promedio). Se determinó que el contenido promedio de Hg y As es inferior al CMP correspondiente, por lo cual se puede afirmar que sí cumple con dicho parámetro de calidad.
