The study was carried out at the nursery of CIEFOR Puerto Almendra (FCF-UNAP), located in San Juan Bautista, Maynas Province, Loreto Region. The purpose is to evaluate the growth in height and diameter, survival and quality of 600 seeds of Couroupita guianensis “ayahuma” in a nursery using various substrates. With 16.92 cm, treatment A2B3 (black soil+rotten stick /60% lighting) showed the greatest increase in height. Treatment A2B2 (chicken manure and rotten wood/60% lighting) showed the greatest increase in the diameter of C. According to the statistical análisis, the “F” test indicated that there was a statistically significant difference between the lighting levels in terms of growth in both height and diameter (p=0.000).
