Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) is the most common cyanotic congenital heart disease. After more than seven decades of the first palliative surgery, TOF prognosis has changed dramatically. With a higher survival into adulthood, the clinical cardiologist faces challenges in the management of this population, from severe pulmonary regurgitation to heart failure and ventricular arrhythmias. In this review, we will describe the most relevant aspects of the care of adults with this disease.

Analiza las tendencias de las atenciones por consultorio externo y las muertes reportadas por EA según grupo etario, sexo, altura y región política en los establecimientos de salud del Ministerio de Salud del Perú del 2005 al 2020. Estudio descriptivo de tipo ecológico de bases secundarias en series de tiempo de las proporciones de atenciones por consultorio externo y la mortalidad por EA. Se registraron 29 844 atenciones y 865 muertes por EA, con tendencias crecientes y significativas. Hubo un incremento promedio de 0,39 atenciones (p = 0,03; IC95% = 0,05 - 0,74) y 0,027 muertes (p < 0,001; IC95% = 1,59 – 3,9) por cada 105 habitantes por año.
