Sistematiza las características y estructuras de la tradición poética a partir del análisis del lenguaje poético desarrollado en la poesía del Perú en el siglo XX, donde se evidencia la presencia de series evolutivas en los discursos de distintos escritores, esto nos permite conocer e identificar el estado en que se encuentra la tradición poética peruana. Con ello, se logra examinar cual es la situación evolutiva que encierra el sistema poético, a la vez de comprender los puntos de colisión entre las obras, para lo cual se trabaja con la teoría de la evolución literaria de Iuri Tinianov, el método retrospectivo-proyectivo de Víktor Vinogradov, y las consideraciones en torno al lenguaje poético de Jean Cohen, Gérard Genette, y Jan Mukařovský.
