The studies of investigation were orientated to verify the antiinflammatory activity, attributed tor the popular use, in the District of Huancayo's Pilcomayo Provincia, Department of Junín, of the species Calceolaria tripartita R and P. Los estudios de investigación se orientaron a comprobar la actividad antiinflamatoria, atribuida por el uso popular, en el distrito de Pilcomayo, provincia de Huancayo, departamento de Junín, de la especie Calceolaria tripartita R & P. Se trabajó con las partes aéreas (hojas y tallos) de la planta perteneciente al Género Calceolaria y a la Familia Scrophulariaceae. Se hicieron extracciónes continuas por Soxhlet. Se realizó un screening fitoquímico preliminar del extracto etanólico en el cual se halló: alcaloides, catequinas, esteroides y/o triterpenos, flavonoides, saponinas y taninos.
