Fragilidad es un síndrome de origen multifactorial, dinámico, que suele aumentar con la edad, producido por alteraciones en uno o más dominios de funcionamiento humano (físico, psicológico y social). Trae consigo deterioro global del estado de salud y finalmente vulnerabilidad que puede aumentar el grado de dependencia y la morbimortalidad. Mujer de 58 años con diarrea crónica secretora, edema de miembros inferiores, disnea a leves esfuerzos con flushing intermitente, con imágenes y estudios auxiliares compatible con un tumor carcinoide primario de ciego asociado a síndrome de corazón carcinoide: síndrome Hedinger.
