Introduction. The post-abortion period is a key moment to promote the use of contraceptives. Understanding the preferences of women attending the service allows for better counseling and contraceptive offerings. Objective. To describe the preferences for contraceptive methods and characterize the sociodemographic and gyneco-obstetric variables of women in the post-abortion situation attended at the Emergency Service of the National Maternal Perinatal Institute (INMP) during 2023.
