ABSTRACT The purpose of this qualitative study was to describe and analyze the types of care performed by the nursing team for the re-socialization of women deprived of their liberty in prisons. The method used was descriptive - qualitative. Waldow, Boff and Mapelli were the authors who offered the theoretical support to the study. The scenarios of the investigation were the penitentiary establishments of "Santa Monica" of Lima, "Picsi" of Chiclayo and "The Milagro" of Trujillo, and the population was conformed by four nurses and four techniques of nursing that are part of the equipment of infirmary That works in the mentioned penitentiary establishments.
