Objectives: collection, digitalization, structuring and analysis of data from patients affected by tegumentary leishmaniasis seen in Centro Médico Santa Teresa in Abancay (Peru), between 1986 and 2006, aiming a meticulous description of both the sample and the pathology. Materials and methods: collection of the files, digitalization through photographs, design of the database (586 patients and 63 variables) and statistical analysis. Results: the demographic description includes age, sex (94% males), formation (primary for almost 50%), occupation (48% agriculture, 28% mining), region where the contagion took place (almost 60% in Madre de Dios), frequency of each clinical form (89% were sylvatic, mostly cutaneous) and number and distribution of the lesions.
