The results are presented, suggesting the viability of radiofrequency ablation (RFA) as an effective therapeutic strategy in the case of a 56-year-old woman with a benign thyroid nodule instead of traditional surgery at a Public Hospital in Peru. The 6-month follow-up revealed a significant reduction in the size of the nodule and a 70% reduction in volume; in addition to improved quality of life, symptom improvement, and normal thyroid function. This case highlights the evolution in the treatment of benign thyroid nodules, with RFA as a possible minimally invasive and safe option, offering a promising alternative to conventional surgical interventions for the management of thyroid nodules, marking a significant change in clinical practice. Objective: Identify whether the reason for care influences the waiting time in the health facility in the PeruvianpopulationduringtheCOVID-19 pandemic,according to analysis by ENAHO2020. Material and Methods: Crosssectional study with secondary analysis of data from the ENAHO of the Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) done in year 2020. For the analysis, regarding the reason for going to the health facility, symptoms were considered compatible with COVID- 19 and other acute symptoms. Results: Data of 1363 participants were analyzed No association was found between reason for consultation and waiting time. Objetivo: Determinar la asociación entre el motivo de consulta y tiempo de espera en establecimientos de salud públicos durante la pandemia por COVID-19 2020. Metodología: Estudio no experimental, observacional analítico de tipo transversal con análisis secundario de datos de la ENAHO del Instituto de Estadística e Informática (INEI) del año 2020. Para el análisis, se consideró como motivo de consulta en sintomas COVID-19 y otros síntomas agudos. Resultado: Se realizó el análisis de 1363 personas encuestadas. No se encontró asociación entre motivo de consulta y tiempo de espera.
