In December 1961 it was possible to obtain the first corner of renal function with I 131 hippuran in our service and in our country. Se han presentado 102 radiorenogramas, obtenidos en el Hospital Obrero de Lima, de diciembre de 1961 a octubre de 1962, de los cuales los 10 primeros sirvieron para la standarización del método, 8 hemos descartado por defecto de técnica, quedando 84, que hemos clasificado en 12 grupos. Estos son los primeros radiorenogramas obtenidos en nuestro medio; hemos tenido la suerte de basarnos en la experiencia adquirida y relatada en la literatura existente hasta 1960, y empleado los avances comunicados a partir de esta fecha utilizando el hippurán, los colimadores con aperturas adecuadas, así como la distancia cristal piel, que ha probado ser de gran utilidad, lo mismo que los inscriptores rectilíneos.
