La presente investigación de tipo instrumental tuvo como propósito desarrollar evidencias de validez y confiabilidad de la Escala para la evaluación de la vinculación afectiva y la adaptación prenatal (EVAP) en una población de gestantes del Instituto Nacional Materno Perinatal. Participaron de la investigación gestantes, adolescentes y adultas (N=310), a partir del segundo trimestre de embarazo; es decir, a partir de las 14 semanas. Los hallazgos del estudio concluyeron que las seis dimensiones propuesta por Lafuente representan microdimensiones de los constructos adaptación y vinculación afectiva prenatal; por tanto, no se requiere la subdivisión, siendo necesaria una estructura solo con dos dimensiones.
