El objetivo de la presente tesis es: Determinar la asociación que existe entre el grado de dependencia funcional, la polifarmacia y el grado de comorbilidad con las caídas del adulto mayor. Se realizó un estudio observacional analítico de casos y controles que incluyó 300 pacientes pertenecientes al Programa de Atención Domiciliaria (PADOMI)- Essalud Huánuco. El método de muestreo utilizado fue el muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia. Se realizó entrevistas donde se obtuvo información sobre datos sociodemográficos (edad, sexo), variables antropométricas (talla y peso) factores de riesgo de caídas intrínsecos (polifarmacia; grado de dependencia funcional, evaluada con el índice de Barthel y grado de comorbilidad, evaluado con el índice de Charlson).
