In a language institute in Lima, the community of practice of English teachers constitutes an essential space for collaboration and professional development. It emerges as a response to specific challenges in the educational environment, promoting the exchange of ideas and collective improvement. Esta investigación tiene como objetivo analizar las metáforas relacionadas a la gestión institucional empleadas por los docentes de un instituto de idiomas de Lima. La categoría central de este estudio es la gestión institucional, entendida como un conjunto de acciones que integran planificación, dirección y control para alcanzar los objetivos institucionales y promover la calidad educativa. El estudio se llevó a cabo bajo un enfoque cualitativo, empleando entrevistas semiestructuradas como técnica de recolección de datos. Los informantes fueron seis docentes con al menos siete años de experiencia en la institución, seleccionados por su conocimiento del entorno organizacional.
