This research is qualitative, descriptive and exploratory, conducted in the city of Trujillo, Instituto Regional de Neoplasias – Norte, the objective was to describe and analyze the perspective of nursing care of the adult with cancer in the postoperative period. Was taken as the theoretical and philosophical basis of nursing concepts and human care according to Jean Watson (1988), Regina Waldow (2008) and E. Levinas (1974) that helped analyze the care of an adult with cancer. In the data collection, in-depth interview was used a guide. The thematic discourse analysis allowed us to disclose and visible nursing care from the perspective of the adult with cancer.
