The study begins with a critical analysis of the contents oriented to the functional vision of public spaces, mobility and accessibility through territorial planning in the historic center of Cusco, to then delve into similar experiences in other sites of the same condition. Through the application of a mixed methodology, quantitative and qualitative data have been identified based on three variables and categories of study: the physical dimension of the intervention, the social-cultural dimension depending on the intervened space and the economic repercussions that have been given by the change of use of the street. All the data obtained and compared are given as a result of the pedestrianization process between 2006 and 2022. El libro que reseñamos es resultado de la actividad académica del Grupo de Investigación Historia e Interpretación del Patrimoniode la Universidad Autónoma de Zacatecas, una publicación estructurada en cuatro capítulos que a su vez congrega ocho artículos, de profesionales especialistas en el tema cultural, los cuales constituyen, sin duda, una valiosa contribución al reconocimiento y valoración del patrimonio material e inmaterial zacatecano como base de su construcción social e identitaria.

El presente estudio establece estrategias de acción frente a la problemática del Centro Histórico de Cusco basadas en la experiencia de trabajo de la AECID, en temas de hábitat, vivienda espacio público y gestión. Se cuantifica y evalúa la incidencia de la experiencia AECID en el mejoramiento de la calidad de vida de los beneficiarios de los diferentes proyectos ejecutados en el ámbito del CHC, se identifica los cambios en la población beneficiada por los proyectos de la AECID frente a la problemática del patrimonio y el hábitat en el ámbito del CHC, se evalúa cualitativa y cuantitativamente la evolución de los espacios públicos intervenidos desde el momento de la ejecución de los proyectos de la AECID hasta la fecha y se identifica la incidencia de la experiencia de los proyectos de la AECID en las políticas de protección y preservación patrimonial de las institucione...
