Objectives: This study sought to determine stress during the pandemic in nurses who work first line in a COVID-19 hospital in Lima. Materials and methods: The focus of the study was quantitative, in terms of the design used it was descriptive-transectional. The population consisted of 102 nurses who work on the front line. The survey technique was used and the main variable was measured with the Nurse Stress Scale (NSS), which allows measuring the level of stress in nursing professionals. This measurement instrument is composed of 34 items and 3 dimensions. Results: In relation to sex, 84 were men (82.2%) and 18 were women (17.6%). Objetivo: Fue determinar el miedo al COVID-19, en pobladores de un asentamiento humano en San Martin de Porres, 2021. Materiales y métodos: El enfoque fue cuantitativo, diseño descriptivo y transversal. La población fueron 148 personas de un asentamiento humano en San Martin de Porres. La técnica fue la encuesta y el instrumento fue la escala FCV-19S. Resultados: La edad mínima fue 18 y la máxima fue 63 años. En cuanto al sexo, las mujeres prevalecieron con un 58,1% (n=86). En cuanto al miedo al coronavirus el 75,7% (n=112) tiene un nivel medio, el 12,8% (n=19) bajo y el 11,5% (n=17) alto. Según la dimensión reacciones al miedo emocional, el 54,7% (n=81) presento alto, el 28,4% (n=42) medio y el 16,9% (n=25) bajo.
