description El objetivo de la presente investigación es realizar la distribución geoquímica del hierro en superficie, en las zonas aledañas al yacimiento de Ventanillas en el 2023. La investigación se realizó mediante la recolección de información correspondiente a la zona, así como boletines pertenecientes al INGEMMET, así como la observación de campo, recolección de muestras y caracterización petromineralógica. Se realizó dos etapas fundamentales para el desarrollo del trabajo, en primera instancia se hizo un cateo y recolección de muestras en campo con lo que se pudo determinar algunas zonas con potencial a nivel de superficie, posteriormente se realizó una campaña de muestro y diseño de malla de muestreo, de manera aleatoria debido a los recursos limitados. Para el tratamiento de los datos de hizo uso del Software ArcGis 10.8 con el cual se logró generar los planos de distribución geoquímica mediante el método inverso a la distancia (IDW). Finalmente, también se propuso algunas zonas con interés económico debido a las leyes mostradas para Fe.
