description Se realizó un trabajo de investigación con el propósito de determinar el impacto de la propuesta de implementación de un Plan de Mantenimiento Productivo Total (TPM), sobre los costos operativos de la empresa Transportes Días S.A.C.; con el supuesto de que los costos operativos se reducirán. La presente investigación por su diseño es aplicada y pre experimental. En la primera etapa se diagnosticó la situación problemática en el área de mantenimiento calculándose una pérdida monetaria mensual de S/. 46,183.93 Las herramientas seleccionadas para eliminar los problemas son: TPM y Plan Anual de Compras. Para validar la viabilidad técnica se realizó un análisis económico determinándose que el ahorro mensual de la mejora es de S/. 9,791.67, el VAN es S/.160,096.90, el TIR es de 76.23%, B/C de S/.1.63. Finalmente se llegó a la conclusión que la propuesta de mejora es técnica y económicamente viable permitiendo reducir los costos operativos de la empresa.
