El objetivo principal de esta investigación fue determinar la relación que existe entre las variables: Felicidad e Inteligencia Emocional; los objetivos específicos fueron determinar cuál es la relación que existe entre Felicidad y las dimensiones de Inteligencia Emocional: Atención Emocional, Claridad Emocional, y Reparación Emocional, así como también determinar los niveles de Felicidad, Inteligencia Emocional y sus dimensiones: Atención, Claridad, y Reparación Emocional. Para ello, se emplearon dos pruebas: Escala de Felicidad de Lima creada por Alarcón y el TMMS-24 creada por Fernández – Berrocal, Extremera y Ramos. La población en cuestión fue de 78 individuos, y la muestra fue de 65 adultos mayores. El tipo de investigación fue básica, no experimental, correlacional-descriptiva y además trasversal. Finalmente se obtuvo como principal resultado que, existe una relación inversa tanto entre Felicidad e Inteligencia Emocional como entre Felicidad y Atención, Claridad, y Reparación (dimensiones de Inteligencia Emocional).

For this, two tests were used: Escala de Felicidad de Lima createdby Alarcón and the TMMS 24 created by Fernández – Berrocal, Extremera, and Ramos.
