La población adolescente es uno de los grupos etáreos con mayor probabilidad de padecer depresión y son distintos factores que juegan un papel importante en el desarrollo de ésta, dentro de ellos el “bullying”. Objetivo: Establecer la asociación entre depresión y agresores y víctimas de bullying en escolares del nivel secundario de colegios públicos de Chorrillos. Métodos: Se realizó un análisis secundario de un estudio “Asociación entre victimización por bullying y adicción a Internet en escolares de Lima”. Se midieron las variables depresión, y victimización y agresión entre pares, así como también variables sociodemográficas. Resultados: De un total de 860 estudiantes, el 63,1% fueron del sexo masculino, con una edad promedio de 14,5 +/- 1,6 años y se encontró que el 95,2% vivía con al menos uno de los padres en casa. El 51,9% presentó algún grado de depresión, el 64,2% se categorizó como tercil medio y superior de agresión, y el 62,7% como víctima correspondiente al tercil medio y superior. En el modelo ajustado, depresión moderada- severa tuvo una fuerte asociación con el tercil superior de agresión (PR: 5,37; IC95%: 2,98- 9,66) y con victimización (PR: 4,33; IC95%: 2,43- 7,71). Conclusión: La depresión tuvo asociación tanto con el perfil de agresor que con el de víctima de bullying. |

Results: Of a total of 860 students, 63.1% were male, with an average age of 14.5 +/- 1.6 years and it was found that 95.2% lived with at least one of the parents at home. 51.9% presented some degree of depression, 64.2% were categorized as medium and superior tertile of aggressors of the total them, and 62.7% as médium and superior tertile of victims of them.
