Sin embargo, aunque la literatura BL ha ganado popularidad en los últimos años dentro del contexto hispanoamericano, sus lectoras (llamadas fujoshis) y el género aún son considerados un tabú. En tal sentido, la comunidad BL puede ser un espacio donde sus miembros expresen libremente su identidad como fujoshis sin temor a ser juzgadas. En este contexto, se plantea el supuesto de que los grupos de scanlation pueden ser espacios para que sus miembros cuestionen los roles de género, la sexualidad y su identidad a través de la traducción. Así, la finalidad de este trabajo es explorar la vinculación de la identidad de las fans con la traducción en las comunidades hispanoamericanas que traducen manhwas BL. Para ello, se propone realizar entrevistas semiestructuradas a los líderes y miembros de cuatro grupos de scanlation.

Several fan groups are dedicated to this activity in order to make the final product accessible to all members of their community, one of them is the community of boy's love (BL) fans. However, although BL literature has gained popularity in recent years within the Hispanic American context, its readers (called fujoshis) and the genre are still considered taboo. In this sense, the BL community can be a space where its members can freely express their identity as fujoshis without fear of being judged. In this context, we believe that scanlation groups can be spaces for their members to question gender roles, sexuality and their identity through translation. Thus, the purpose of this research is to explore the link between fan identity and translation in the Hispanic American communities that translate BL manhwa.
