El papel de la mujer en el cine actual se ha visto representado a través de elementos narrativos que sostienen su presencia como miembro importante de la sociedad. Además, se ha identificado que el contexto en el que se lleva a cabo la trama, influye en la caracterización del personaje femenino, en el desarrollo de su identidad y empoderamiento en correlación con las brechas entre géneros que se evidencian en el producto audiovisual. Para llevar a cabo la investigación, se analizará cómo se construye la identidad femenina y cómo el empoderamiento femenino se ve representado en la protagonista líder: Anne Shirley, en la serie de Netflix “Anne With an E” (2016).

Para llevar a cabo la investigación, se analizará cómo se construye la identidad femenina y cómo el empoderamiento femenino se ve representado en la protagonista líder: Anne Shirley, en la serie de Netflix “Anne With an E” (2016).The main objective of this research is to interpret the development of the disruption of female roles given through the representation of the leading character Anne Shirley in the Netflix series "Anne with an E". The role of women in current cinema has been represented through narrative elements that support her presence as an important member of society. In addition, it has been identified that the context in which the plot is carried out influences the characterization of the female character, in the development of identity and her empowerment in correlation with the gaps between genders that are evidenced in the audiovisual product .
